Feet First Dance Festival- 4th March
Miss Davies and other fellow staff from Oakwood took a group of street dances from different age groups to perform at the Cheltenham Town Hall for the annual feet first dance festival. The children performed a frozen style dance at the event, displaying good team work and excellent dance skills.
A massive thank you to Miss Davies for her choreography.
Netball friendly against Gotherington
The netball team from Oakwook have played their first match against Gotherington Primary School. In the first match the team played extremely well against the fast paced team from Gotherington. The team stayed strong and the final score from the first match was 13 Gotherington - 10 Oakwood.
The next game will take place on Tuesday 24th March at Oakwood starting at 3.45pm.
Rugby World Cup Match - Argentina vs Geogia at Kingsholm
Friday 25th September 2015
On Friday 25th September the lucky competitions winners attended a Rugby World Cup event at Kingsholm. Seb and Sophie enjoyed watching an exciting game against the two teams, with Argentina winning 54-9.
The competition winners had to say this about their experience:
" It was very exciting to see Argentina score lots of try so close to where we were stood" Sophie
" I was very excited to see the teams form a scrum, it looked hard work! " Seb
Sports Hall Athletics - December 2015
18 Year 6's took part in a large school sports hall athletics. The children participated in a range of different field and track events competing against 5 larger schools in Cheltenham. The children showed great sportsmanship at the event and were able to win some of the track and field events.
