Our Vision

At Oakwood, we aim to develop pupils’ curiosity and deepen their understanding of the world through the learning of French, in line with the Primary National Curriculum. We aim to equip pupils with a strong foundation in listening, speaking, reading and writing which will enable them to communicate effectively and prepare for future language learning. In lessons, we encourage pupils to demonstrate determination as they build linguistic knowledge, work collaboratively through teamwork, develop self-belief as confident communicators and show passion and respect for languages and other cultures. Our vision is for all pupils to leave primary school as motivated, resilient and culturally aware learners.
