Covid-19 Catch Up Premium
Covid-19 Catch-Up Premium January 2021
At Oakwood we have to date received £11,017.00 funding to address the impact of the pandemic upon children’s academic progress and mental health.
At Oakwood we have used the bulk of the funding to release, for 4 days a week, an experienced Teaching Assistant who is well known to the children to carry out sessions of individual and group catch-up sessions.
The remaining funding has been used to buy-in the services of a counsellor to address the needs of the children most emotionally affected by events surrounding Covid-19.
We will assess the impact of these interventions by using a combination of progress shown on our tracking system, growth on our Federation Whole Child Assessment Framework and by reports on motivation, readiness to learn and engagement from staff.
